The Swell Season brings together Oscar-winning duo Glen Hansard (from the Irish band, The Frames) and Marketa Irglova (classically trained Czech pianist and vocalist). Both rose to prominence after starring in cult indie film Once, the 2007 movie which starred the pair as struggling musicians. Winner of the audience award at Sundance in 2007, Hansard and Irglova's beautifully simple melodies also earned the film soundtrack a Grammy nomination and Academy Award (Best Original Song). Refreshing and engaging; the masterful musical arrangements of The Swell Season make this a must-see performance.
